How to elevate a minimalist wedding dress?

LESS can be MORE—— understated elegance is a statement within itself. it’s opting for intentional accents that add interest without overwhelming. if you have a simple wedding dress, use the details to give your look a modern, romantic or traditional tone. Here’s what I mean:

for ethereal —

Add fluid fabrics and transparent texture.

Chiffon and silk organza are our go to with a cape or as a veil. If the opaqueness doesn’t feel you then pull in tulle accents like our ruched tulle sleeves or an airy necktie that again, creations motion, texture and that poetic accent.

TO VEIL OR NOT TO VEIL?

  • It’s the iconic BRIDE accessory and presumably, it’s that once in a life time moment.
  • you can have your BRIDE moment with or without a blusher. The blusher is the part that goes over your face and while yes, it makes for incredible imagery and mystique…it’s not required. Instead, opt for a minimalist option that can secure low in your hair for an understated elegant approach.

  • Ultimately, I say do YOU. And don’t let norms, traditions or stigmas get in the way of your style and your moment.

VEILS AND CAPES WE LOVE

modern yet classic —

We get this one a lot and I always fall back on freshwater and baroque pearls.

Naturally, the Pearl is a timeliness element but the irregular and organic nature of the freshwater pearls offer a new age authenticity that classic round pearls lack.

"Keep it simple sexy."

The classic pearl stud — elevated. Organic freshwater pearls nestle next to a glass sphere for a touch of modern elegance.

artful —

Consider our gold, abstract florals. Sculptural petals create feminine forms but there is nothing obvious floral or cutecutesy about that instead, they feel artistic and forward.

We have a few sisterhoods in this genre: magnolia, the, remy, etc.

for romantic —

My styling goes to softer, ivory accents like Charlee, Maj or Layla sisterhoods. again, abstract floral in form but it’s the ivory texture with your ivory dress that creates a tonality so you can go a touch bolder in this realm without overwhelming your gown.
